Arrivederci...

So, I just got back from Paris and realized I haven't posted in a while. These past several days have been very bittersweet. Like I said I just got back from Paris, but I really, really, really miss my friends. The majority of them left me. There are only 4 of us that stayed for the second session. On Friday, we had our finals. After our final, Chels and I went to our last lunch together in Trastevere or our last lunch together in Rome in general :(. It was quite sad. Dinner was probably one of the best times I've ever had during a meal. I don't even remember what was so funny but I just couldn't stop laughing. It was probably Alycia now that I think about it. She is one of the most entertaining people I have ever met. There was so much food at dinner and it lasted almost three hours, food just kept on coming. It was awesome! and free! Well, kind of (thanks, Luns).

After dinner we decided to take advantage of everyone's last time in Rome and saw all the major monuments and such at night. They are all so beautiful and the pictures really don't do them justice. We went to Piazza Venenzia, Colosseo (of course, best place on Earth), the Trevi Fountain, and the Vatican. Then! We went to our favorite bakery (the second best place on Earth) and I think we each got due cornetti a nutella (two nutella filled croissants, my new favorite obsession). It was just one of those really great nights where nothing went wrong and everyone was just happy, for the most part - I kept getting randomly sad knowing that this is the last time we will all be here together experiencing this. Ever. I really hate thinking about this right now. It honestly feels like I'm going through a break up (Caroline feels the same way, she is still here but doing API Tuscania this session). It has been hard and I have had to take one day at a time. Sounds pretty lame but it is true. Saturday morning was pretty brutal. I spent the night at Chels' apartment. She left at like 6:30 and we finally had to say our goodbyes. We had been putting it off for so long and it was quite sad. I had known that walking away from Chelsey was going was going to be my breaking point. I got through it though and now I'm sitting here in my new apartment with my new roomies/friends.
The glasses are actually full of Coke this time. No joke. There was no drinking at this dinner, so all laughs and giggles were pure.

No one will ever be able to replace these guys and all of our absolutely ridiculous times together. Summer session one was so amazing and everyone was great. There truly are no words to describe how great this summer has been thus far. I love you all and we will see each other again...arrivederci mi amici :)

Party all the time...

Study abroad kids are definitely known for partying while abroad. I'm not going to lie, the stereotype is pretty close to the truth. I, of course, don't party too hard and too often but it has been pretty fun. I'm really going to miss these people. It is all coming to an end. I just wanted to put up some photos from our random nights out together. I didn't know how to bring them about in the blog but I think now is the perfect time. The title of this post comes from the Black Eyed Peas song, minus the sleep all day part because as you know Chels and I do not do that. Enjoy :)
Almost all the API girls

With Andrew and Maggie at Testaccio.
Looking cute after all the dancing.
Carly, Chelsey, and me waiting for the cab home
Alex, Chelsey, and JP
Again with Haniel!
You should all know this chica by now.

Here are the lovely API boys, minus Ben and Ryan.

We met up with Chel's friends from home (Washington). They were backpacking through Europe. I think it was 7 guys and 1 girl, poor Leah.

That night was our first time to stumble upon Piazza Venezia. This picture does not do it justice.
I love this picture!

Barcelona crew. I'm in love with this little group.
My friend Hudson stopped in Rome for a few days after his cruise.
We had dinner on the Tiber river with the view of the St. Pieter's in the distance.
We love big scarfs and baggy tops ;)
Carly, Dana, Maggie, and Chels.

Happy meal really is the perfect name.
Even my nuggets were happy!
Andrew, Leslie, and Daniel (The Aggie boy)

I actually look tan. I'm pretty excited.

We made some excellent sciarpa decisions.
While Chelsea and Kat splurged on some candy - Chelsea spent 12 euro. No judgement :)
