Where does the Pope sleep?

Yesterday, Chels and I went to Vatican City to go inside St. Peter's and to climb the dome. It was a little overwhelming with all the tourists. They are quite annoying. We (APIers) don't consider ourselves tourists anymore because we have been living in Rome for a little over a month now. Pretty crazy, huh? I can't even believe it has already been that long. Chels and I are still taking advantage of our school schedule to see all of Rome before everyone leaves me. We won't talk about that just yet.

To get to the top of the dome we had to climb 551 steps. It was a little intense but not too bad. There were some high schoolers behind us that would not shut up about how many steps there were. I am sorry to anyone and everyone "if" I was ever like that. I just wanted to turn around and smack them. I mean come on, there is a sign that says how many steps there are before you make the commitment. There is no turning back so they had to suck it up but not without complaining the entire way.

I couldn't get many shots because the guard kept yelling and us. He would follow us to make sure we weren't staying in one place too long. I mean out of all those people why in the world did he have to keep track of us? The blonde hair definitely does not work to our advantage here (but I still would never change it :) ). Here are a couple shots from inside St. Peter's and at the top of the dome! Enjoy!

Of course it wasn't free. We went for the 5 euro because the extra 2 euro can buy gelato.

231 steps down.

There is the Colosseo.

If anyone can tell me where the Pope actually sleeps I'd really appreciate it. We are unable to find that information.
