After dinner we decided to take advantage of everyone's last time in Rome and saw all the major monuments and such at night. They are all so beautiful and the pictures really don't do them justice. We went to Piazza Venenzia, Colosseo (of course, best place on Earth), the Trevi Fountain, and the Vatican. Then! We went to our favorite bakery (the second best place on Earth) and I think we each got due cornetti a nutella (two nutella filled croissants, my new favorite obsession). It was just one of those really great nights where nothing went wrong and everyone was just happy, for the most part - I kept getting randomly sad knowing that this is the last time we will all be here together experiencing this. Ever. I really hate thinking about this right now. It honestly feels like I'm going through a break up (Caroline feels the same way, she is still here but doing API Tuscania this session). It has been hard and I have had to take one day at a time. Sounds pretty lame but it is true. Saturday morning was pretty brutal. I spent the night at Chels' apartment. She left at like 6:30 and we finally had to say our goodbyes. We had been putting it off for so long and it was quite sad. I had known that walking away from Chelsey was going was going to be my breaking point. I got through it though and now I'm sitting here in my new apartment with my new roomies/friends.
The glasses are actually full of Coke this time. No joke. There was no drinking at this dinner, so all laughs and giggles were pure.
No one will ever be able to replace these guys and all of our absolutely ridiculous times together. Summer session one was so amazing and everyone was great. There truly are no words to describe how great this summer has been thus far. I love you all and we will see each other again...arrivederci mi amici :)
